Drucker + Falk opened its doors for business in Newport News, Virginia in 1938, as a result of a real estate/ insurance partnership formed by A. Louis Drucker and Emanuel E. Falk. Legend has it that each partner invested $100 into the business to purchase a typewriter and employ a part-time secretary. Honesty, integrity, and a sense of responsibility to the community were the cornerstones of the business; qualities that were passed on to their sons, Erwin B. Drucker and David C. Falk, Sr., as well as all other individuals who joined the company along the way. Today, Drucker + Falk is a multi-state corporation, with over 1,000 direct and affiliate employees. Throughout its years of growth, Drucker + Falk has preserved the importance of its founding values and has maintained an environment in every regional office that embodies respect in all interactions.

In keeping with the company’s fundamental philosophy, the Drucker + Falk Hall of Fame was created in 2017 to honor company employees for their years of dedicated service and devotion to their jobs, the company, their co-workers, and the community at large. Although the initial Hall of Fame recipients functioned within the company in a variety of capacities, they all share many of the same character traits. Words such as passionate, loyal, impactful, and kind have been frequently repeated in descriptions by those who knew these individuals best, demonstrating the qualities the leaders of Drucker + Falk have sought over the years in hiring good people.
