NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia (May 18, 2010) - Wendy Drucker, Partner & Managing Director of Drucker & Falk, will be inducted into the Hampton Roads 2010 Business Hall of Fame in a black tie ceremony to be held May 20th in Norfolk, VA. The Hampton Roads Hall of Fame event benefits the Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads organization. Founded in 1985, the Hampton Roads Business Hall of Fame honors individuals whose business innovations, effective management and civic involvement have made a major impact and positive difference in companies and communities throughout Hampton Roads.
Wendy Drucker is one of five individuals being inducted into the 2010 Hall of Fame. According to the Junior Achievement organization, inductees into the hall of fame must demonstrate business excellence; courageous thinking and actions; visionary and innovative leadership; and community involvement. Through these accomplishments, Laureates serve as role models for the next generation of business leaders, many of whom are currently Junior Achievement students.
Ms. Drucker's induction is largely based on her 29 year career in multifamily and commercial real estate. Her company, Drucker & Falk Real Estate, is based in Newport News, VA and operates throughout six states in the Mid Atlantic and Southeast. Drucker & Falk is the regional leader in multifamily real estate in the Hampton Roads area, and has been consistently named among the largest apartment management firms in the nation over the last 20 years.
"We are very proud of Wendy's accomplishments," says Jim Ledbetter, President and COO of Drucker & Falk. "Those of us who work with her benefit from her talent and her leadership on a daily basis. We are pleased to see these talents recognized in a public way, and we agree with Junior Achievement that Wendy is a great role model for the youth of Hampton Roads."
