Drucker & Falk Named Managing Agent by Fairfax County Housing Authority - 12.07.09

Drucker & Falk has been named by the County of Fairfax and the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority as the Manager of Wedgewood Apartments, located in Annandale, VA. After a thorough proposal and selection process, Fairfax County awarded the management contract in early November to Drucker & Falk, a national Top 50 Management firm headquartered in Newport News, VA.
The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority provides affordable housing to moderate and low income households in order to make quality housing available to all of the county's residents. Built in phases between 1963 and 1967, Wedgewood Apartments was acquired by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in February 2008. The 672 unit community, which sits on 34.8 acres off of Heritage Road in Annandale, is the largest single acquisition of a property in Fairfax County. According to the county's comprehensive plan, the FCRHA seeks to increase the number of affordable housing units each year to serve the full range of incomes of households that need affordable housing solutions.
Drucker & Falk is currently undertaking an extensive due diligence in order to meet the county's goals of increasing operational efficiencies and ensuring the highest quality living experience for the community's residents. Following a comprehensive due diligence process, the firm began management on November 28th.
