Drucker & Falk's Friends Relay for Life Team - 8.24.09

For 9 years, Drucker & Falk has been an active and successful participant in the Virginia Peninsula Relay for Life event, which has raised millions of dollars for cancer research and has provided necessary support for cancer patients. Relay for Life is an outstanding event, as people of all ages and walks of life come together to celebrate life with cancer survivors and to remember those who were not as fortunate.
The 2009 Drucker & Falk team - known as Drucker & Falk's Devoted Friends - included 13 team members. The team exceeded its fundraising goal of $18,000 through a series of creative initiatives, including a silent auction, numerous office raffles, and a book sale. In addition, the team received many generous donations from business associates, family members, co-workers and friends. In total, the Drucker & Falk team raised $20,744 for cancer research and support.
Unfortunately, the 2009 Peninsula event - originally scheduled for June 5-6 at Todd's Stadium in Newport News - was rained out. In spite of the rain, the Drucker & Falk team found the experience to be very rewarding and is making plans to be involved again next year.
With the $20,744 collected for the event, Drucker & Falk's team ranked 3rd out of 191 teams in the most funds raised. Additionally, Wendy Drucker - partner and Managing Director of the firm - took 1st place with the largest fundraising by an individual team member.
The team's success is attributed to the commitment and initiative of each individual team member and Drucker & Falk congratulates them on their outstanding achievements.
